Tropical Storm Edouard made landfall early today (August 5) on the Texas coast.
At 1500 UTC Tropical Storm Edouard was located near 29.9N 94.6W about 40 miles west of Port Arthur, Texas. TS Edouard is moving west-northwest at 15 mph with maximum sustained winds of 60 mph. TS Edouard is expected to produce a total rainfall of 3 to 5 inches in some areas of southwestern Louisiana coastal parishes and southeastern Texas as reported by the National Hurricane Center.
