SOUTHEAST ASIA FLOODSURGENT BULLETIN
Heavy seasonal monsoon rains have caused widespread flooding in large regions of Southeast Asia devastating communities, destroying crops, and disrupting transport and energy supplies throughout India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and China. As soon as this happened, the ADRA network responded immediately providing assistance to thousands of people.
The recent floods have left over 10 million people in dire need of help as they struggle to meet their basic needs and survive this disaster.
ADRA Canada has already committed $20,000 to the network response to bring relief in the form of food packages, transitional shelters and bedding kits and much needed medical aid to prevent diseases from spreading.
Our emergency funds are quickly being depleted and we need your help. Please donate online at www.adra.ca, by calling 1.905.433.8004, or by sending a cheque to the address below.
Find additional information about ADRA Canada at www.adra.ca. ADRA Canada is part of the ADRA network, which is present in more than 100 countries providing community development and disaster relief without regard to political or religious association, age or ethnicity.
