Salary £39,000 - £42,000 plus excellent benefits package Based in Brighton, UK with regular travel to Africa We have an opportunity for a Programme Manager: West and North Africa in our Africa Team. The Programme Manager will take up responsibility for international support and Secretariat contributions provided to field programmes in West and North Africa as well as for the successful development and management of field programmes in the sub-region and for management of relationships with Linking Organisations. In collaboration with the Head of Team and other Africa Team managers, the PM will contribute to the Alliance's strategic directions in the region. Additionally, the PM will be directly responsible for the successful efforts of the West and North Africa sub-team, in accordance with reporting lines, and for the sub-team's collaboration with other Africa Team staff and Alliance staff in other teams. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with demonstrable relevant work experience within the region or in a developing country context alongside significant experience in HIV/AIDS or SRH programming. As a successful manager of programmes, you will be able to demonstrate experience of managing multi-country and multi-million US dollar budgets and possess proven strategic planning and analytical skills established in a development context. You will be able to bring a strong vision of development and expanding NGO/CBO HIV/AIDS programming in West and North Africa; motivate and build an effective team; use strong communications skills in English and French both verbally and in writing to represent the Alliance in public and be capable of moving easily and effectively between the worlds of donors and grassroots NGOs.
